Welcome! By entering this website, you are joining me on a journey of learning and discovery of what Sarvodaya can look like in our daily lives and in the world. Sarvodaya is a term coined by Gandhi and developed into an influential,. grassroots movement by his disciple, friend, and spiritual successor Vinoba Bhave. Sarvodaya refers to the idea of working for the holistic uplifting of all humanity, all life. Though the movement may not be as it was, my current long term project, Radical Inclusive Love: Sarvodaya in Action, explores how various individuals and groups in India are continuing to work for a world in which everyone may flourish.

Swasti’s current project is a creative nonfiction manuscript that highlights the stories of a community of women living in rural central India. Since 1959, this community of women has been conducting experiments in women’s spirituality. Operating out of a pragmatic definition of spirituality, simple living and high thinking, the sisters offer us insights into how to live in a manner that can lead to a world in which everyone may thrive.
